I found out about this term just a few months ago and it stands for the keyboard. Not the instrument but yes, that clickity-clack keyboard used for typing. Just like that, I now know that anything and everything has its own enthusiasts.
Hobbies are expensive. So the short answer to the question is, NO. It’s never too late because as you grow older I can safely assume that you make more than enough money (and maybe time) for a new hobby.
Back to keyboards.
There’s this mechanical keyboard hobbyist that I just found out about. Typically, it sounded very interesting to me. Why keyboards? Well, imagine a Gundam set or even Legos. It is very similar. It requires some technical skills, also the fact that you can customize and make it your own. Same principle.
Here are some basics.
There’s a lot more for me to research and learn on this keebs hobby, which on these three days of googling and YouTubing I can safely list down things that I personally find most important to start. Obviously there’s also some technical stuff such as soldering, that I won’t get into just yet.
It all comes back to individualism. The world feels like it’s getting smaller and smaller. One needs to stand out to feel some level of important-ness and somehow be exclusive. That’s where hobby comes filling in, especially those that can be customizable with your own identity. Try it.
Personally, it feels good.
Update 27 July 2020: Just received my Keychron K6 Wireless Mechanical Keyboard RGB Backlight / Hot-swappable / Brown switch and I am typing with it now. Might need to get use to it first though.
I’m late. Just a tad bit late to watch Episode 5 by one day. That is enough for me to find out that most people hated the episode. Even the previous one too.
Personally, I feel OK. In fact, I loved those episodes. In a twisted world of Game of Thrones, one might expect this outcome. Specifically, the outcome where YOU never get what you want the characters to be. Yes, you.
Why I didn’t write any review for Episode 4? Because I feel, a good amount of people died in that episode, is sufficient enough for an act of revenge. THE revenge. So, we needed to relax — until last Monday!
I admit this season’s episodes was kind of rush. I was actually expecting each of the battles is worth to be two episodes each. I also understand but can’t imagine the hard work they’ve all been thru to make even 1 episode. In one of the making videos, someone said: “I have given everything I have, but I won’t do this again”. That meant something. I heard HBO gave them extra money just to extend the season but the showrunners refused. I get it. Money isn’t everything. Good for them. What I don’t get is the fans hating this season. Look. This is their show. They can do whatever they want and obviously, they can’t please each and every one.
About Daenerys spontaneous decision. If I had a dragon and you killed my best friend, I would do that too. Isn’t all good action movies are like that? Taken. John Wick. Bourne. Avengers. They will kill whoever is on their way just to get revenge. Just to get that one person who’s responsible. So what’s wrong with that? Does that make her a bad person? Well, maybe but it’s a feeling. A human instinct.
Nope, you won’t die gloriously instead…
Cersei’s death — it was kind of lame but in a way, it was a good choice. Hear me out. She has been the most hated queen, so that was one way to spit on her corpse and say “Nope, you won’t die gloriously instead, here — you will just get a lame death” and for once, she kinda gets what she deserves. It must have been a tough decision but you get a slow clap from me. As for Jamie, well, he asked for it.
Clegane story is a good one, as for the rest of deaths obviously we have seen it miles away and prepared for.
Finally, before the final episode next week — enjoy these videos while it lasts.
There’s also a snippet for Game of Thrones: The Last Watch — the Official Documentary:
Did I ever tell you that my favourite character since the beginning is Arya? Well, it’s her and the dragons. I knew I had some talent for reading people and a good judge of a character. Spoilers below.
Let’s be real here. I wasn’t ready for another epic battle after Avengers: Endgame few days ago but hell yeah, I am satisfied. This is definitely a good week. Arya, what can I say. You’ve grown up so well and made me proud!
Closure. That’s what we deserve and that is what we get in this masterpiece.
You don’t need to speculate, you just need to watch it. I will worth your while. Heck, it is worth that 10 years of your life since you started watching the first Ironman. Same goes like my other review, after the dotted lines — spoilers.
It’s building up. The great battle that we’ve all been waiting for — The Battle of Winterfell, that’s what they’re calling it. And that is what it’s gonna be.
I won’t remind you again about spoilers, in future posts when you reach the dotted line and you haven’t watched it — it means spoilers below.
OK, as usual, I will start with the end. If you’ve seen GOT Season 8 trailer, the White Walker’s undead horse foot stepped on to Winterfell and with that — it is official! It is going to be EPIC! It’s the same final scene from the trailer for this episode. You anxiously felt the winter is coming near. It is here.
For this second episode, I felt that it wasn’t enough. I am calm, and it’s just not right. I wanted to be a fool like I did in the last episode. I want to ride that emotional rollercoaster which I had been riding all along. I also believe, it is an episode for us to “rest” and try to keep calm as the next episode might blow our minds. They building up that anticipation of what’s going to happen or maybe I just miss the dragons.
Did I ever tell you that I am obsessed with dragons after watching GOT? It is a magnificent creature. Majestic like hell! They’ve really done a freaking impossible one with the dragons in the series. Brilliant I tell you! I have never felt like this since Dungeons & Dragons though I have seen some dragons in some movies but never like this, never! It’s impossible for anyone to hate the dragons after watching them here.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot of emotional scenes in this one, such as Arya’s last person to hang out other than the two old shits. Brienne was recognized to become what she deserves. Also, there’s a new song to put on repeat:
Did you notice the costumes in this episode? On word — Sansa. I don’t know how they did it but it’s working. All of it. She looks hot and fierce at the same time. They must’ve hired a bunch of talented designers in the crew. Oh man!
“The [Game of Thrones battles] I’ve done previously were generally from Jon’s perspective,” Sapochnik told Entertainment Weekly. “Here I’ve got 20-some cast members and everyone would like it to be their scene. That’s complicated because I find the best battle sequences are when you have a strong point of view. I keep thinking: ‘Whose story am I telling right now?’”
So for next week, let’s do a checklist of everyone involved in the Battle of Winterfell — we’ll cross on the urm, un-survived ones:
Brienne of Tarth
Sandor “The Hound” Clegane
the Night King
You’re welcome but uh, did you notice of the absent of Viserion? Well, have you read about this one popular theory suggesting the Night King could have a different strategy in mind? I don’t think the Night King is a fool either. Let’s just wait a week, shall we?
As always, here’s a preview to keep you occupied for a week:
And here we have a 20 minutes in-depth look for this episode. Watch it. All the hard work, the reasons being, why this episode is the way it was, you can find it all here.
Never wanted to leave
I am going to start posting some articles similar to this one on Medium, just to improve my writing skills.
After 21 years, we’re not sure why we still keeping this domain; it’s 2019 we’re not sure whether a personal website is still relevant. Well, here goes nothing.
A few years ago, we decided to restart everything all over again. We plan but never get to revive this website. Like everyone else, life happens. Starting this year we will try to make this website alive again. If you ever come across do say hi.
