(well, it’s around RM9+) hehe.

we stopped at silom road and asked by the tuk-tuk driver, our destination. but ofcoz, mahal la kan? 150 baht to get to our hotel? wtf? we only paid 100 baht je from the airport. tipu je ceh! we decided to walk and we saw a tourist info booth. cut things short, we ask, we follow the map and we walked. lets just say that when we arrived at Forum Park Hotel, my kaki tercabut! (nak bajet sangat.. hambek kne jalan kaki! wargh~)

we rest a while. decided not to go so far and just sight seeing/surveying for day 1. we walked again (20 mins walk) to the nearest skytrain. jangan tetipu ngan nama “sky” tu, sebenanye same je ngan lrt er kecuali kat sana stesen nye tesangatlah besa! then, off we go to Siam Square. it was like bukit bintang area with lrt, but every shopping complex is next to each other in a ’square’. just imagine sgwang, times square, mid valley & pertama in one area with one huge linkage (jejantas) to one another! keputihan mata yg terlampau pada hari pertama tu sbb byk gile dah target nak beli. isk, sebaik baru 1st day.

sebelum balik tido, we went to Patpong Night Market (of course!) it’s about the same like I remembered. but there’s an addition for the t-shirts and i…. like! we just walk around and survey the prices. yeah, the sellers were nice, but once you ask “how much?” uh uh, they can be mean and shout a lot! and of course, things get worst if u decided not to buy hehe. well, it’s just like Petaling Street I guess. my advice, just ignore and walk away… fast!

– end of day 1 –

2nd day

We went for a tour of the infamous Damnoensaduak “floating market”. it was damn far from the town. honestly, you might not reach there by yourself. we asked our hotel for the tour and we need to pay 700baht for a half day tour. it was like, from KL to Seremban or Melaka! to me, nothing much there in the market. yeah they sell fruits, keychains, umbrella, shirts and even goreng pisang (we tried some, it was deliciouss~) but one thing that’s very special was the experience! you can never get it elsewhere. surprisingly, we stopped by at the coconut farm, cobra show, woodcraft center and the gems gallery in Bangkok. we were told that every tour has to end at the gems gallery to promote Thailand. it was a great experience, unexpectedly great half day journey for us – well, it was worth the rm70 that we paid

Our plan to visit the Grand Palace was much easier when there’s a tour van from the gems gallery dropped us there. we didn’t go inside since I’ve been there from the previous visit and I told them that there was nothing much in there to see. We then walk to Wat Po just beside the Grand Palace. as you might not know, the reclining Buddha was inside Wat Po temple. luckily, we met this Thai friend and he told us that it was closed for a while coz that day was “Buddha Day” and the Sami(s) is praying inside to get blessed. he told us to go to the lucky buddha temple, Piyamanee, Standing Buddha and come back there again around 5 pm. he told the tuk-tuk driver to take us there and back again just for 20 baht. it was cheap but the journey didn’t take long either as the other temple was also closed. anyway, we get to see the Reclining Buddha before we went to Wat Arun or as they say, Temple Of Dawn. it was tiring as we head back to our hotel… walking..

– end of day 2 –

3rd day

What can I say.. we started the day just to get lost! haha. ouh yeah! why not? we’re outsiders staying in a town where the people didn’t talk that much English. ok2 here’s what happens. it’s our first time wanting to go to the nearest skyway NOT by walking.. so we just waving to all the public transport to stop, and there’s this lorry taxi nearby. we asked if they go to Chong Nonsi Skytrain, and he says “yes, yes”. uhuh, it was a different Chong Nonsi. near the highway? wargh! huh, luckily we didn’t have to pay, er and unluckily, we’re lost! we then asked the locals (like they can understand) and at the end of the day, we were guided to a bus that didn’t go where we headed. again, it’s a free ride. At last, we took a cab to the Skytrain station.

Like a pro, we headed to the riverside and took a boat to Chinatown market. it was unexpectedly long! er the market that is. half of the day we spent shopping and browsing for stuff that we don’t even want. yeah2 we bought for others too. it was late, but we manage to go to the most talked about place in Bangkok – Khaosarn Road. a lot of tourists spotted there, and of course there’s a market just around the corner. same stuff, same price. nothing much for us there except for the “eye candies”. we went back to the hotel and took a walk in Patpong market later that nite.

– end of day 3 –

4th day

Since it was our last day in Bangkok, what else there is to do?
